Frequently asked questions

What does fund operations cover?
The operations that keep a fund running day to day: investor subscriptions, capital calls, paying for investments, distributions, cash monitoring and relations with service providers, through to liquidation.
How does a capital call work?
The management company sets the amount to call, splits it between investors pro rata to their commitments, sends each a call notice, then tracks payments until all have been received. Orma prepares, checks and follows up every step.
Does Orma replace the depositary or the fund administrator?
No. Orma works on the management company’s side: it oversees these providers, prepares the information they need and checks their deliverables.
